Anguyo Dralega

Mr. Dralega has over 30 years of experience in the field of Optometry, with a career spanning practices in Sudan, England, and Uganda. He holds a Master’s degree in Optometry from the University of Bradford, UK, and is fully registered to practice in Uganda, the United Kingdom, and Rwanda. He founded Med-Optics with the goal of advancing Optometry and the provision of good eye health and optical healthcare in Uganda and has remained at the forefront of the field. Driven by the belief that Uganda deserves access to high-quality, accurate vision care, Mr. Dralega has worked tirelessly to raise standards within the profession. Together with a fellow dedicated optometrists, he co-pioneered the establishment of Bachelor of Science in Optometry program at Makerere University, co-founder of the Optometrist Association of Uganda, and collaborated with the Ministry of Health to develop and implement minimum professional standards for optometric practice and advocating the employment of Optometrists in the public service in the country
